Walt Disneys story of wood-carver Geppetto and his puppet creation Pinocchio, brought to life by a blue fairy. Based on the 1883 childrens book by Carlo Collodi. Named the second-best animated movie of all time by the American Film Institute in 2008. Pinocchio is promised life as a real boy if he can prove himself "brave, truthful and unselfish". He embarks on the journey with the help of his personified conscience Jiminy Cricket and a host of other characters. Best Original Song winner at the 1941 Oscar Academy Awards.
